UAE Customs Duty Calculator

What this calculator does

Under the GCC Common External Tariff, most goods imported into the UAE mainland from outside the GCC are charged customs duty at a flat 5% of the CIF value (Cost, Insurance and Freight) — with much higher rates for alcohol (50%) and tobacco products (100%). Goods imported into a Free Zone for storage or re-export, without being released into the mainland market, are exempt, as are low-value courier shipments up to AED 300 (except alcohol and tobacco, which have no minimum). This tool estimates the customs duty due on a shipment based on its category, CIF value, and destination. Note that import VAT (generally 5%, charged on the CIF value plus duty) is a separate charge not calculated here.

Disclaimer

This calculator provides an indicative estimate for guidance purposes only, based on the standard GCC Common External Tariff rates. Actual duty depends on the precise HS (Harmonized System) tariff classification of your goods, which can carry a different rate, and on the specific Emirate's Customs department handling clearance. It does not cover trade agreement preferences, temporary import regimes, or import VAT. PrimeLedger Consultancy FZCO does not accept responsibility for the accuracy of the figures produced by this tool. Please cross-check your result with a qualified expert, such as PrimeLedger, and refer to official UAE Customs guidance before making any import decisions.
