UAE Notice Period Compensation Calculator

What this calculator does

Under Article 43 of the UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021), employment contracts must specify a notice period of between 30 and 90 days (a minimum of 14 days during probation). If either the employer or the employee ends the contract without serving that full notice period, the party responsible owes the other "pay in lieu of notice" — compensation equal to the employee's full wage (basic salary plus allowances) for the unserved portion of the notice period. This tool estimates that compensation.

Disclaimer

This calculator provides an indicative estimate only, based on a simple wage-divided-by-30 daily rate applied to the unserved notice days. It doesn't cover every scenario — such as garden leave arrangements, the immigration work-permit ban that can apply if an employee leaves during probation without serving the required notice, or contract-specific terms. Please cross-check your result with a qualified expert, such as PrimeLedger, before relying on it.
