UAE Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) Insurance Calculator
What this calculator does
Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) Insurance has been mandatory for most UAE private- and some public-sector employees since January 2023. Category A (basic salary up to AED 16,000/month) costs AED 5/month, with a monthly benefit capped at AED 10,000; Category B (basic salary above AED 16,000/month) costs AED 10/month, capped at AED 20,000. If you lose your job involuntarily, after at least 12 consecutive months of contributions, you can claim a monthly cash benefit of 60% of your average basic salary over the previous 6 months, for up to 3 consecutive months. This tool works out your category, premium, and estimated benefit.
