UAE Individual Tax Residency Checker
What this checker does
Under Cabinet Decision No. 85 of 2022, an individual is a UAE tax resident — and can apply for a Tax Residency Certificate — if they meet any ONE of three independent routes: their usual place of residence and centre of financial and personal interests are both in the UAE; they were physically present in the UAE for 183 or more days in any consecutive 12-month period; or they were present for 90 or more days in a 12-month period AND are a UAE/GCC national or UAE residence permit holder with a permanent UAE residence or UAE employment/business. This tool checks your situation against all three routes.
