UAE Late Filing & Payment Penalty Calculator

What this calculator does

The Federal Tax Authority charges separate administrative penalties for filing a VAT or Corporate Tax return late and for paying the tax due late. Late payment is now a flat 14% per annum, calculated monthly on the outstanding tax, for both taxes — since 14 April 2026 for VAT under Cabinet Decision No. 129 of 2025, and since 1 August 2023 for Corporate Tax under Cabinet Decision No. 75 of 2023. Late filing stays tax-specific: a flat AED 1,000 for VAT (AED 2,000 if repeated within 24 months), or AED 500 per month for the first 12 months and AED 1,000 per month after that for Corporate Tax. This tool estimates both penalties from your dates and unpaid tax amount.
