UAE VAT Designated Zone Checker
What this checker does
UAE Designated Zones (such as JAFZA, DAFZA, and other fenced, FTA-listed free zones) get special VAT treatment for supplies of goods, but not for services — services always follow the normal place-of-supply rules, no matter where they're delivered from. This tool checks how a specific movement of goods, or a supply of services, is treated for VAT purposes.
Disclaimer
This tool covers the general rules for Designated Zones under Cabinet Decision No. 52 of 2017 (as amended) and the FTA's Designated Zones VAT guide. It does not review the specific evidence each case requires (such as proof the goods left the UAE, or the narrow shipping/e-commerce exception in Article 51(7)), and doesn't cover every scenario, such as goods consumed within the zone itself. PrimeLedger Consultancy FZCO does not accept responsibility for the accuracy of the result produced by this tool. Please cross-check your result with a qualified expert, such as PrimeLedger, or official FTA guidance, before relying on it.
